Host a House Party!

House Parties are a great way to support the work of Portland Street Medicine! When we share with our friends and family the impact of PSM’s life-saving work, we build a stronger community of supporters and greater capacity to reach more patients.

What is a house party?

House Parties are donor led events, typically but not always at the home of the host, that seek to raise much needed funds, among personal friends and family, to support Portland Street Medicine.

Main Objective: To raise much needed funds to support Portland Street Medicine.

Secondary Goals

  1. Raise awareness about PSM’s work and its positive impact in the community.

  2. Build and strengthen a sense of community among donors.

  3. Inspire others to host house parties.

Why House Parties: House Parties are informal events that are very effective at growing a Major Donor audience. This is because: when the hosts (trusted acquaintances) vouch for our mission and connect potential donors directly to PSM (and its staff), there is greater potential for stronger, and longer lasting relationships. When these new relationships are fostered over time, a donor’s commitment can be strengthened and there is greater likelihood for them to vouch for our work ongoing to their own networks.

Audience: Your friends, colleagues, family and neighbors! More specifically, people you personally know who want to see a positive impact on the houselessness crisis.
